The Coalition of Concerned Families (CCF) is asking Selma and Dallas County to join them, the Selma City Council, and the Dallas County Commission in "Remembering Those Who Lost Their Lives to COVID-19" by participating in "Yellow Ribbon Week” on June 13-19. 

Yellow has been used to represent empathy and sorrow.

CCF asks that all citizens, businesses, churches, and public buildings hang a yellow ribbon on the door of their homes and establishments June 13-19 to show that you stand with those who lost their loved ones.

Everyone is also asked to participate city and county-wide by wearing yellow on “Yellow Ribbon Day”, June 18th.

On June 19th, during the Jazz on the Grazz Community Music Festival on Water Avenue, there will be a pause to allow families to say the names of their loved ones and write them onto the memory banner with the date their loved ones succumbed to this most deadly virus.
