The Dallas County Farmers’ Market will officially be opened for its 2019 season beginning on Saturday, June 1, 2019. The Empower Music Festival will be known as "the destination with a purpose", it will be an annual music festival that will be hosted in the Blackbelt to commemorate the spirit of love, happiness, music, health, and creation of wealth. It will feature street artists, food vending, a battle of the bands simultaneously performing on the main stage as well as three venues that will focus on health and wellness, entrepreneurship and investing, and living history forums.

The Empower Music Festival’s mission is to present a world-class celebration of the arts and entertainment that enriches the cultural, economic and social vitality of the Blackbelt region. Furthermore, the festival will represent the core values of excellence, diversity, and relevance.
