NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
OF THE
SELMA REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
The SELMA REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (the Authority) will hold its regular meeting of
the Board of Directors of the Authority on the THIRD THURSDAY of each month at 4:00 PM
EyeMax Vision Center, 2401 Medical Center Parkway, Selma, AL, 36701, for the purpose of
transacting such business or taking such action as may come before the Board of Directors
of the Authority.

The Coalition of Concerned Families (CCF) is hosting its usual Candidates Forum at 5:30 pm on Thursday, July 23rd at Seniq’s Variety Cafe, 118 Washington Street, with a Voter Education session earlier at 4:30 pm.
Because of COVID-19, this forum will be in-person for candidates only and virtual for Selma citizens.
Candidates are asked to bring their laptops already charged and downloaded with the Zoom and Facebook Live apps.

The Olde Town Association Political Forums are scheduled for 5:30 pm at Heritage Village on Thursday, 7/30/20, (Mayoral), and Thursday, 8/6/20, (Council President and Ward 3 candidates). The public should bring their lawn chairs and masks and there will be a microphone so everyone can hear. People need to be socially distanced. Each candidate will have 15 min to speak. Please send questions for the candidates to Gery Anderson at for inclusion.
Estate Planning for Landowners Online Workshop
Alabama Extension is offering a two-hour workshop on estate planning for landowners. This workshop is being offered through Zoom. It has also been approved for two hours of Category 1 CFE by the Society of American Foresters. There are two dates available to choose from for this workshop – July 30 and August 18. Each workshop lasts from 7 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
Attendance for each date is limited and registration is required. There is a $10 registration fee.
